You don't have to own a digital or film camera to take this workshop, just an imagination and creativity. During this workshop, students will learn about pinhole camera construction, exposure, composition and dark room processing.
A pinhole camera is a very simple camera with no lens and a single very small aperture. Simply explained, it is a light-proof box with a small hole in one side. Light from a scene passes through this single point and projects an inverted image on the opposite side of the box.
Students will be provided with a pinhole camera made out of a paint can to use for the day, along with Photographic paper, and processing chemicals. Photos shot with the paint can camera will be in black and white since we will use paper as the negative.
