Modifying Light for Portraiture Workshop

Lighting Equipment Expert: Mark Astmann of Manfrotto Distributions

Professional photographer, Stacy Pearsall, will be giving a two-day workshop on light modification to enhance portrait photography. Lighting equipment expert, Mark Astmann, will join her and provide students with equipment and technical support for the duration of the workshop.

Over the two-day course, Stacy will discuss different types of lighting from ambient sunlight to studio flash and everything in between. She will demonstrate how to use different light modifying tools such as scrims, reflectors, soft boxes and kicker lights to obtain the best possible outcome.

Stacy will provide hands-on instruction as she works through each lighting scenario with a live model. Students will have an opportunity to set-up and shoot each lighting scenario as the workshop progresses. For students who do not have specialty lighting equipment needed to complete the scenario, Mark Astmann will make his own gear available.
