Jack Alterman

Jack Alterman has been photographing professionally for more than 25 years and opened Alterman Studios in 1980 in Charleston, S.C. He received his technical training at the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California.

Alterman's expertise includes aerial, industrial, catalogue and environmental photography as well as studio portraiture and travel essays. He has traveled extensively in Africa, Asia and Europe and is an award winning wildlife photographer. He is a regular contributor to regional and national publications. He has exhibited his work at the 2000 and 2002 Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston and at the Gibbes Museum of Art. His photographs have been acquired by arts organizations and numerous private collections.
